Venice Beach Boardwalk and Beachfront Homes For Sale and For Lease on Ocean Front Walk, Venice CA 90291








The world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk is a great place for locals and tourists to shop, eat, people watch, walk along the beach, and be entertained for hours. It is located at Ocean Front Walk, Venice CA 90291 and is free to the public!
The Boardwalk stretches for about 2.5 miles along the Pacific Ocean and features performers, fortune-tellers, artists, musicians, and vendors. You can get fun souvenirs like paintings, photos, rocks, sculptures, bracelets and more! On the West side of the boardwalk are the small street vendors and on the East side of the boardwalk are the storefronts including t-shirt shops, sunglass stores, restaurants, tobacco shops, and bars.

Other attractions include the handball courts, paddle tennis courts, skate-park, beach volleyball courts, and bike trail. The world famous Muscle Beach where Arnold Schwarzenegger once worked out is also on the boardwalk and offers an open playground with weight lifting equipment, rope climbing, and acrobatic and gymnastics bars. At the southern end of the beach on Washington Blvd, there is the Venice Fishing Pier. The local surf spot in Venice is called the Venice Breakwater and is located between the Venice Pier and Santa Monica Pier. 

The Venice Public Art Walls are located at 1800 Ocean Front Walk, west of the bike path between Windward St to the South and Market Street to the north. These historic walls were built in 1961 as part of the Venice Pavilion and were always illegally painted with graffiti style murals. Although technically illegal, it was generally tolerated by the Police and enjoyed by the community. In 1999, the Pavilion was taken down and portions of the walls were preserved. The Venice Beach Canals - Beautiful Waterfront Homes For Sale & For Lease, Tourist Attraction

The Venice Canals of Venice, California were originally designed in 1904 by Abbot Kinney, an entrepreneur with a marketing vision to replicate the Venice Canals of Italy. He designed a series of 16 miles of manmade waterways on top of the existing wetlands to drain the area for a residential neighborhood and create a "Venice of America".

In 1924, most of the canals were filled because the city needed more roads. In that year, all but the remaining 6 canals that are left today were filled. Today, a few blocks of the canals still remain and you can walk along them in the area between the streets Washington, South Venice Blvd, Pacific Ave, and Ocean Ave. 

Some of West Los Angeles' most beautiful and luxurious multi-million dollar homes lie along the remaining canals. Most of these homes have their own docks and boats they can take on the water. Each canal has a few bridges that connect the two times. Although all of the bridges are very similar, each seems to be slightly unique.

The Beverly Center is an 8-story retail center located between La Cienega Blvd and San Vicente Blvd at the boundary of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA. It is located at 8500 Beverly Blvd.

The mall occupies levels 6 through 8 and features the department stores Macy's and Bloomingdale's. It also has stores ranging from staple retail brands such as Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret, and Forever 21 to high-end designer boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada, Burberry, Fendi, and Ferragamo. 

The Beverly Center includes a full food court, valet parking, and several restaurants such as the Grand Luxe Cafe. There is also a Rooftop Terrace with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills, downtown LA, and West Los Angeles.
Some celebrities that have been spotted shopping here include Drew Barrymore, Bruce Springsteen, Robin Williams, Courtney Cox, Paul McCartney, and Jerry Seinfeld.

The area surrounding the Beverly Center is known as the Beverly Center - Miracle Mile neighborhood. This area is known for its Spanish style single-family homes and original duplexes. The area also has many condominiums and apartment buildings.

The stores and boutiques are along a 3-block stretch of the street and the rest of the street North and South of the shopping area consists of residential housing. Rodeo Dr. is considered part of the "Golden Triangle" business district, which includes the streets for a few blocks each way from Rodeo Dr. 

Rodeo Dr. is home to the flagship locations for some of the most prestigious brands in the world such as Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Giorgia Armani, Gucci, Harry Winston, Hermes, Herve Leger, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, MiuMiu, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Versace, YvesStLaurent (YSL), and more!

Bijan Pakzad was known for his Rodeo Drive boutique and his many cars. He was an Iranian designer of menswear and fragrances and his boutique is often described as "the most expensive store in the world". Some of his other notable cars in his collection was a yellow Bentley Azure with black interior, a Black Bentley Azure with yellow interior, a black Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, a yellow Ferrari 430 Spider, a yellow Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, all of which are known to be parked outside his boutique.

Some other nearby attractions include the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and the department stores Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. The Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel is the place where Julia Roberts and Richard Gere fell in love in the movie "Pretty Woman". It is a great place to stop for a glass of wine or afternoon tea while looking out over Rodeo Dr. The amazing Mastro's Steakhouse is to the east on Canon Drive, where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent $10,000 for a private dinner before their wedding. Mastro's has some of the best steaks in town and great views from the penthouse, where they have a DJ every night (great for dates or girl's night out)!

Rodeo Dr. is a great place to go shopping, people-watching, window-shopping, or to have a nice meal or a drink! It is especially fun to visit during the Christmas Season, when there are spectacular holiday decorations and lights. Also, every Father's Day, the street closes for a free vintage car show that is open to the public. 

There are several garages nearby that offer free parking. There is free valet parking on Dayton Way, north of the intersection with Rodeo Dr. There are also a few City of Los Angeles Parking Garages that offer 2 hour free parking. These can be found on Beverly Blvd and on Dayton Way. There is also metered street parking on Rodeo Dr. and all the streets surrounding it.
